Donna Evans Mettier manages Technical Services for the Marin County Free Library. Donna has been working in libraries for 25 years and got her start in cataloging and then Jails Services for the Alameda County Library. Since then, she’s been a cataloger, a bookmobile librarian in rural Oregon, an outreach specialist for San Jose Public, and a branch manager for the Marin County Free Library. For several years she hosted “Book Talk,” an author program on cable access TV in Marin, and she’s now back in technical services managing selection, acquisitions, cataloging, collection management, and tech support for a 10 branch system. Prior to working in libraries, Donna spent ten years teaching ESL at California State University, Hayward (now CSU East Bay.) Her current professional interests include data-driven collection management and digital outreach…which led to this amazing podcast!
